Extended Description

Anyone visiting the Caribbean for the first time cannot fail to be impressed by the richness and luxuriance of the vegetation. Many of the plants encountered produce colourful flowers, and most visitors soon become keen to develop a better acquaintance with some of the more common plants and their exotic blossoms.
One of the most striking features, which immediately impresses visitors, particularly those from more temperate parts of the world, is the abundance of flowering trees. When in blossom, these usually appear to be very exotic. The second section of this book is devoted to the most common of these flowering trees.
