BajanThings two years on…

As 2016 draws to a close and we look forward to 2017 it is time to reflect on BajanThings two years on since my cousin Peter sowed the seed in December 2014.

After a slow start BajanThings has grown in popularity. We now have 192 subscribers and 62  comments on line. More importantly, we both have received some very positive comments from people we meet. I wish to thank everyone for their encouragement and hope that we will be able to continue to provide articles that educate, enlighten and inform. We will continue to stay away from Political and Religious topics.

In the past few months Peter has worked hard, I am told well into the night, to upgrade the site by arranging the pictures from previous posts. He has also improved the look of the site. He is  responsible for getting the search engines to recommend BajanThings. I thank him for this. This has resulted in an increased number of people, like you, reading the articles.

For the 2016 we had 30,195 page views and were visited by 15,766 visitors. Most of our readers are from USA, Barbados, UK, Canada and Australia.

Below is a table of all the BajanThings posts to date and the number of visits it has had.  You can change the table sort order by clicking the arrows at the end of each of the header columns. You can sort the table alphabetically or by views or by post date. You can also filter the table based on a search term if you are looking for something specific. You can also click on any of the posts and the post will open in a new tab in your browser.

I wish everyone a happy and peaceful Christmas and a healthy 2017.

Hopefully those who make vast sums of money producing bombs and bullets with the express aim of killing people in far off countries will find alternative employment.

As John Lennon said, give peace a chance.

William Burton

PS A note for the diary: Monday 11th September 2017 will be the 75th anniversary of the torpedoing of the Cornwallis in Carlisle Bay.
